Dr. Megan Michelle Lavado is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Psychologist who earned her doctorate degree from Albizu University with a specialization in Neuropsychology. During internship, she worked at West Gables Rehabilitation Hospital and evaluated adults and geriatric patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. She received further training at the Neurobehavioral Institute of Miami, specializing in neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations. Dr. Lavado completed her post-doctoral training at a private practice, where she specialized in neuropsychological, psychoeducational, psychological, and developmental evaluations. She is the co-author of the book: Minority and Cross-Cultural Aspects of Neuropsychological Assessment: Enduring and Emerging Trends. Dr. Lavado’s background also includes providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children diagnosed with Autism.
Throughout her career, Dr. Lavado has enjoyed working with children, adolescents, adults and families. She is a trained evaluator in Cross-Battery Assessment, which is an evidence-based approach for identifying Specific Learning Disorders (SLD). She has experience diagnosing a spectrum of disorders which include: Specific Learning Disorder (SLD), Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual Disability (InD), Disruptive Behavior Problems and Mood Disorders.
